CFFC: A Southwold Garden

A lovely garden in Southwold, except, it’s not public. A holiday cottage just to the side of gun hill boasts this quaint little garden.

Southwold’s gun hill is home to cannons that are said to have been gifted in 1746 to help protect the town. The garden’s gate opened onto gun hill, which, on a sunny day, was a perfect place for a game of bowls or a picnic. Even better, gun hill overlooks the sea so grass can always be swapped for sand. Dolphins can also be spotted.
