Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, Città Alta

Following on from ‘A Day Out in Città Alta’.

With no main entrance, each ‘side’ entrance is marked by lions supporting columns. The Basilica can be found just off of Piazza Vecchio. An architectural masterpiece. The inside is grand and spectacular.
